American Mastiff Breed

The American Mastiff breed is known universally as a great family breed. American Mastiffs are incredibly loyal, great with children and have a passive temperament while being protective at the same time. They stand up to 35 inches in height and typically weigh between 140 and 200 pounds.

The American Mastiff has a powerful, stocky build with a strong upper body. They feature a long tail and round, droopy ears - a typical Mastiff feature. Mastiffs have short hair with a fawn colored coat. American Mastiff Puppies are always dark in color when they are born, and over time their coat will lighten.

The American Mastiff has a lifespan of about 10-12 years.
